I am still considering of going there. Can you imagine, for me, who goes to Beijing almost twice (or more) per year, he 'considers' it? My wife and I will hopefully go to Mount Tai (taishan) next year. I can imagine the scenery looks like LOTR... Guilin then should also look impressive to you. LOL. The concrete paths are a bit strange to the eye at first, but they also make for fantastic views. It is quite impressive to see such a path hang alongside a vertical wall of stone in the mountains.
